LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two Louisville men have been indicted by a federal jury for illegally possessing a firearm.
Hassan Mohamed, 20, and Jrome Fitch, 22, were both indicted in July for illegally possessing a firearm.
Mohamed was indicted for possessing multiple firearms between March 27 and April 23, 2024, according to a news release. Due to past convictions for robbery, assault, rape and sodomy, Mohamed was banned from having firearms.
According to the release, Fitch, while under indictment for another case, was in possession of multiple firearms from March to April 2024. During that time period, Fitch was under indictment in Clark County, Indiana for criminal recklessness, auto theft and theft of a firearm.
Mohamed faces a maximum of 15 years in federal prison. Fitch faces a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison. There is no parole in the federal system.
