LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 22-year-old man was arrested after a shooting in Jeffersonville Saturday night, according to police.

Jeffersonville Police responded to a shooting near Presidential Place and Washington Way around 11:42 p.m. Police said a 28-year-old man had been shot and wrecked his vehicle into a tree while attempting to flee the shooter.

According to police, Zachary Jackson was found near the crime scene. Police said they obtained evidence that implicated Jackson as the shooter.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound. He is still recovering at the hospital.

Jackson was charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, criminal recklessness with a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.

Jackson was booked in Clark County Jail and is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
