20-year-old identified as pedestrian killed on Fern Valley Road

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 20-year-old was identified by authorities as the victim of a fatal crash on Fern Valley Road earlier this week.

Louisville Metro Police said officers responded to a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle near Fern Valley and Shepherdsville roads July 1.

When police arrived on scene, they found Montez Brandon badly injured. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Brandon died the July 2 at the hospital.

The driver that hit the man stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No charges are expected.

The LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating.
