LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 27-year-old man was charged with murder in connection to a fatal shooting in Shively Saturday night, according to police.
Da'Montez Daniel-Hutchings was arrested Sunday after a teenager was shot and killed Saturday evening.
Shively Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of Kennedy Road, near Dixie Highway, around 6:30 p.m. When police arrived, officers found a male in his early teens with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police. The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police identified Daniel-Hutchings as a person of interest Saturday night and said he was armed and dangerous.
Daniel-Hutchings was charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
