LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Three members of the same family appeared in court Monday after allegedly assaulting a man sleeping outside a Louisville store.
Dariah Adams was arrested over the weekend along with her mother, Natasha Adams, and her stepfather, John Mark Sanders.
Police said the trio allegedly approached a man sleeping outside the store in June. Natasha Adams allegedly held him while Dariah Adams punched him and Sanders hit him with a gun.
Natasha Adams said in court that it is not true.
"I'm not going to be able to keep my job," Natasha Adams said. "I'm in healthcare. I have no criminal history and this man attacked my daughter."
Police said the victim and Dariah Adams had previously been in a relationship. All three were charged with assault.
