LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have released the identity of a man who was fatally shot inside an apartment in Jeffersontown Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Jefferson County coroner's office, 34-year-old Airrice Clayton was pronounced dead at the scene after he was shot at The Pointe at Stoneybrook Apartments on Arbor Pointe Drive on Oct. 22.
Jeffersontown Police Maj. Brian Foreman said officers were called to the apartment around noon, and arrived to find the door to the apartment slightly open. Officers found Clayton after stepping inside.
Police said there is no threat to the public.
"Everything right now points to the victim and perpetrator probably knowing each other," Foreman said at the scene. "It was probably more of a unique incident between them as opposed to a random at-large crime."
