LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Five men are facing charges after police seized drugs and 40 guns on Friday while responding to reports of a shooting in the Jacobs neighborhood.Â
The incident started Feb. 2, when officers responded to a shooting on in the 3700 block of Lentz Avenue near Taylor Blvd. That's where police found a shooting victim who was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but police said he is expected to survive.Â
A suspect was detained at the scene, according to court documents.Â
Detectives got a warrant to search the home and found narcotics believed to be cocaine, meth, and marijuana. Records also show police seized 40 guns, including one that was configured to fire fully automatic. Police said four of those guns had been reported stolen.
Jose Hernandez Munoz, Jose Martin Lara Munoz, Juan Francisco Morales Serna, Victor Munoz-Lara, and Jose Peres Rodriguez were arrested days later and are all charged with receiving stolen property.
A judge set a $30,000 cash bond for all five defendants after court documents indicated that investigators are unable to verify their true identity and believe they are a flight risk.Â
