LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man killed in a shooting early Sunday in Louisville's Algonquin neighborhood has been identified.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Isaiah C. White, 44, died from a gunshot wound just before 3 a.m. May 4.
The shooting was reported on Dixie Highway near West Hill Street around 2:45 a.m., according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers responding to the scene found White shot inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
LMPD investigators said White crashed his vehicle into a medical office in the 1600 block of Dixie Highway after he was shot.
Police said on Monday they arrested 48-year-old Jack Elliott, of Louisville, and charged him with White's murder. According to his arrest citation, surveillance video shows Elliott in his car following White's car to a parking lot where detectives later found "four spent shell casings." Police said Elliot placed himself at the scene of the shooting during a recorded statement.
