LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man died and a woman is in the hospital after a shooting near the University of Louisville's campus Sunday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police.

LMPD said the shooting happened in the 400 block of University Boulevard, near Eastern Parkway, just around 12:16 a.m. When police arrived on scene, they found two people who had been shot.

Both victims were taken to University Hospital in critical condition. But the man, who hasn't been identified, died at the hospital.

LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said the woman has non-life-threatening injuries.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting.

Officers also said all parties have been accounted for.
