LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's been three years since two men were shot and killed in southwest Louisville.
In 2020, Tyron Grant, 23, and John Johnson, 26, died after being shot near Magic Liquor on Gagel Avenue between Dixie Highway and Manslick Road. Two people wearing masks and dressed in black were seen running from the shooting toward a black car. Those suspects are still on the run.
Three years later, the victims' families lit sparklers and released balloons while praying for justice.
"We need the people that are responsible for this to come forward because we are their voice, I am their voice," said Lakesia Jeffrey, Johnson's mother. "I'm not leaving, I won't stop. I won't rest until they are brought to justice. I won't rest until LMPD does their job."
Louisville Metro Police are still investigating the shooting. No one has been arrested.
Anyone with information about the shooting, or anyone who may have video of the incident, is asked to call LMPD's anonymous Crime Tip Line at 502-574-LMPD (5763). Tips can also be submitted anonymously online through the department's Crime Tip Portal by clicking here.
