LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A former Nelson County Corrections officer in Kentucky accused of having a pipe bomb and a hit list was indicted this week.
Mason Johnson is charged with attempted murder, attempted kidnapping, attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and other charges.
Nelson County deputies searched his home on Jim Clark Road in Balltown in November, and said they found a pipe bomb, police gear, and a detailed list of people he planned to kill.
In addition to working at the Nelson County jail, Johnson was a corrections officer in Larue County and volunteered with the New Hope Fire Department.
