LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Indiana man pleaded guilty to charges for his role in the protests at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
David Scott Kuntz, from Elizabeth, pleaded guilty Monday in Harrison County to one count of conspiracy to impede or injure an officer, a federal offense.
Prosecutors recommended a sentence of 12-18 months and a fine between $5,500 and $55,000. He faced a maximum sentence of six years prison, a $250,000 fine and not more than three years supervised release.
Kuntz told FBI agents that he is an adherent of the "Three Percenters" militia movement and belongs to a militia group called the Grey Ghost Partisan Kentucky Rangers.
Kuntz's sentencing hearing is scheduled for April 1, 2025.
