Schepers is described as a 5-foot-7-inch, 150-pound man with brown hair and hazel eyes. He also has a tattoo of a cross under his left eye and multiple tattoos around his neck.

Davis said the search for Schepers is focused on the rural, wooded areas around Orange and Martin counties.

"He is armed and dangerous, so ... if somebody comes knocking on your door, don't answer the door if you do not know who it is," Davis said.

He was last seen driving a silver 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix with the Indiana license plate CRT921. ISP said in an update around 8 a.m. Friday that Schepers' vehicle was located in the Orangeville area, which is about 10 miles north of West Baden.
