LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was taken to the hospital early Monday, after a shooting in south Louisville.
It happened a little after 3 a.m. Monday, according to a news release from Louisville Metro Police. That's when officers from LMPD's Fourth Division responded to a shooting report in the 2800 block of S. 6th Street.
Officers found a man with a gunshot wound at that location and provided first aid until EMS arrived. The victim was taken to UofL Hospital in downtown Louisville with injuries that did not appear life-threatening, according to the news release.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation, but there are no known suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the LMPD crime tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or utilize the online LMPD Crime Tip Portal.
