LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 35-year-old Louisville man is charged with murder after a man was gunned down in the Wyandotte neighborhood last week.
Jervon Woodson was arrested Nov. 17, a week after police found the victim in the 3600 block of Henry Avenue, between Beecher Street and Camden Ave.
LMPD investigators believe the victim -- now identified as 44-year-old Tyrell Miller -- was shot in the 3600 block of Taylor Boulevard, near Bloom Liquor Store, and made his way to Henry Avenue where he collapsed before police found him.
Police said Woodson and Miller appeared to be in an argument before Miller was shot, according to the arrest citation. Surveillance video showed Miller running across Taylor Boulevard and Beecher Street after he was shot, and then collapsing on Henry Avenue.
LMPD released pictures of Woodson on social media on Nov. 13 and asked the public for help identifying him. After receiving a tip, officers were able to review video from an earlier incident that he was involved in and identify him.
In addition to murder, Woodson is also charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (meth and heroin), one count of possession of marijuana, and one count of possession of paraphernalia, according to court documents.
Woodson appeared in court on Nov. 18, where a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. The judge set his bond at $500,000 full cash. His next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 26.
