Around 5 p.m. April 24, 2024, officers were called to a reported shooting at 10th Street and West Broadway.

When they arrived, they found three vehicles involved in a crash. Inside one of the cars, they discovered a man in the driver's seat that had been shot in the chest.

The man, later identified as Keevan Brown, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the arrest report, Victure Brown was riding as a passenger in the vehicle that was being driven by his brother, Keevan Brown.

Victure Brown was injured in the crash and taken to UofL Hospital.

Officials were able to search the victim's vehicle after it was impounded and found a handgun in the passenger floorboard, the arrest report said.

Through investigation, ATF officials were able to determine that it was the same gun involved in the shooting.
