LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in the Shelby Park neighborhood in May, according to Louisville Metro Police.
30-year-old Eliyahu Perkins was arrested on Monday and charged with murder, according to LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis.
On May 4 at about 4:30 p.m., police responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 block of Preston Street, near East Ormsby Avenue, LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said at the time.
Upon arrival, officers found 29-year-old Jeffrey Wilson shot in an alley behind Preston Street. Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Perkins is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
