LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have identified a man who was gunned down in the Shelby Park neighborhood on Derby Day. 

It happened just before 4:30 p.m. on May 4. That's when police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Preston Street, near East Ormsby Avenue, according to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell. When officers arrived they found the victim -- now identified by the Jefferson County coroner's office as 29-year-old Jeffrey Wilson -- in an alley behind Preston Street. 

He died at the scene. 

LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but there are no suspects at this time.
