LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man will now be spending five years in federal prison.
The U.S. Attorney's Office announced the ruling Thursday. According to court documents, Steven Meredith is sentenced to five years and three months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
He is charged with possessing a firearm after previously being convicted of a felony offense and money laundering related to drug deals.
Court documents say he transferred $40,000 to purchase property in Louisville.
Meredith must also pay a fine of $20,000.
