LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A death investigation is underway after a woman involved in a crash near Tyler Park died at the hospital Wednesday evening, Louisville police said.
Officers were called to a reported crash on Tyler Park Drive at Baxter Avenue around 7:20 p.m., Dwight Mitchell, a spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Police Department, said. That's in the city's Tyler Park neighborhood.
Once on scene, police found a Jeep and a pickup truck that had crashed. The woman who was driving the Jeep was taken to University of Louisville Hospital, where Mitchell said she was found to have suffered "an unknown penetrating wound not associated with" the crash and was pronounced dead.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation. Mitchell said no other injuries were reported from the crash.
