LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- When Louisville police arrested a woman for DUI, she allegedly told officers she was embarrassed because she owns a treatment center.
According to court documents, several people called 911 after seeing 43-year-old Erin Willinger driving the wrong way on the Watterson Expressway near Newburg Road early Saturday morning.
One caller said she was going about 90 miles per hour.
A short time later, Louisville Metro Police received more calls about a head-on crash on Interstate 264 near Dumesnil Street, about 15 miles from the original report.
Officers said Willinger was walking away from the crash barefoot and smelled strongly of alcohol.
Police said she admitted she was drunk and knew she was driving the wrong way, but couldn’t find an exit.
