LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman accused of hitting and killing motorcyclist in Louisville pleaded not guilty Monday.
Erica Parker, 40, is charged with murder, assault and DUI. Parker was arrested May 20 after riding a motorcycle and hitting Donell Johnson around 11:30 p.m. near South Hurstbourne Parkway. Johnson, 38, was knocked off the motorcycle and left unconscious before being taken to the hospital.
Johnson died at the hospital the next day.Â
Investigators said Parker told police she had one beer about three hours earlier but was unsteady on her feet. After conducting a field sobriety test, Parker was arrested, at which point police said she smelled of alcohol.
A judge set bond at $35,000, which Parker posted. She is scheduled to return to court in July.Â
