LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man convicted of murdering a Louisville man and his 3-year-old daughter wants to appeal his case.
Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman filed documents Tuesday with the Kentucky Supreme Court to uphold Kevon Lawless' sentence.
Lawless was convicted in September 2022 of killing Trinity Randolph and her father, Brandon Waddles, in 2020.
Lawless was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in November 2022 after being found guilty of two counts of murder and one count of burglary.
Under Kentucky law, appeals for any life sentence are taken directly to the state's Supreme Court.
Lawless remains behind bars at the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville, Kentucky.
