LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is dead after being shot in the Russell neighborhood early Tuesday morning.
Aaron Ellis, spokesperson for LMPD, said officers responded for a call on a reported shooting just before 2:00 a.m. in the 1000 block of Esquire Alley near Roy Wilkins Avenue.
When they arrived, they found a man inside the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
EMS pronounced the man dead on the scene, according to Ellis.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting and canvassing the area, but police don't have any suspects.Â
