LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man was shot in the Portland neighborhood.
Officers were called to the 400 block of N. 28th Street about 8:20 p.m. Thursday evening on a reported shooting, LMPD spokesperson John Bradley said. That's between St. Xavier and Gilligan Streets.
Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot several times, Bradley said. The man was transported to UofL Hospital and is expected to survive.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating and "actively pursuing leads."
