LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man charged for an assault outside of a Louisville bar in 2020 has been sentenced to prison.

The crime was caught on surveillance video. A group of people can be seen standing outside of O'Shea's on Bardstown Road in the Highlands before a fight breaks out.

Matthew Paul Thompson was identified as one of the men throwing punches in the video. A couple of people were knocked out, and one person ended up in the Intensive Care Unit.

A judged sentenced Thompson to five years in prison for the assault.

Another man involved, Dewitt Thomas, pleaded guilty and received two years of conditional discharge, which is essentially probation.
