LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a person was shot and killed in a local liquor store on Tuesday.
According to Sgt. Matt Sanders, a spokesperson for LMPD, first responders were called to the Oya Liquor Store on Dixie Highway just after 9 p.m. on a reported shooting. That's near Ratcliffe Avenue and Bernheim Lane, between Shively and the city's Algonquin neighborhood.
Once on scene, police found a young adult male who was "obviously deceased inside the store" with multiple gunshot wounds, Sanders said.
The coroner's office identified the victim Wednesday as 20-year-old Corrion Williams of Louisville.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but had no suspects and had made no arrests.
"We believe this senseless act might have been witnessed by several people," Sanders said.
Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting, or has any information, is asked to call LMPD's anonymous Crime Tip Line at (502) 574-LMPD (5673). Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the department's online Crime Tip Portal by clicking here.
