LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was hospitalized after being shot during a dispute at a southern Indiana bar Monday afternoon.
New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey said officers were called to the Hitching Post Bar on West Market Street on a "reported shooting incident" around 3:20 p.m.
Once on scene, police found a 60-year-old man who had been shot. They also detained a 64-year-old man, the alleged shooter, who was still on scene.
Bailey said the shooting victim was taken to University of Louisville Hospital "as a precaution" for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Police believe a dispute led up to the shooting, but have not provided any additional details.
Bailey said the investigation is ongoing, so the suspect's charges are not yet available.
