LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police investigators are looking for suspects after a man was shot Tuesday morning in downtown Louisville.
It happened just after 10:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Louisville Metro Police Department. First Division officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of South 3rd Street, between Liberty Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard.
Officers arrived at that location to find a man with a gunshot wound to his leg.
They applied a tourniquet until EMS arrived and took the man to UofL Health Hospital. His injuries didn't appear life-threatening, according to the release.
There are no known suspect(s) at this time. Anyone with information is asked to make an anonymous call to LMPD's Crime Tip Line at 502-574-LMPD (5673). Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the department's Crime Tip Portal by clicking here.
The LMPD Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
