LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police officers and members of the SWAT team surrounded the Brown Hotel in downtown Louisville for several hours Wednesday morning for an investigation.
According to a news release from LMPD spokesman Matthew Sanders, the incident started around 3:30 a.m. and involved a "fluid situation."

Officials were dealing with a person "in crisis" that was threatening to harm himself.
All occupants were evacuated from the floor he was on, and there are currently no injuries reported.

After several hours, a man was loaded on a stretcher and taken to UofL Hospital for treatment.
The scene was cleared shortly after 7 a.m., Sanders said.Â
According to court documents, Shawn Murphy was arrested and charged with burglary, fleeing police and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He is expected to be arraignment on Thursday.
