Woman shot multiple times near East College Street in Louisville

She was taken to University Hospital with multiple injuries.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a woman was shot multiple times Tuesday night in the Old Louisville neighborhood.

Officers with LMPD's Fourth Division responded about 10:50 p.m. on a report of a shooting in the 100 block of East College Street.

According to LMPD spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders, officers located a scene in the 100 block of East College Street, but learned the victim fled to the lobby of York Towers Apartments at 201 York Street.

It was there that officers located a 41-year-old woman who had been shot several times in her extremities, Sanders said.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating, searching the area and interviewing witnesses.
