LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man wanted for murder in Frankfort was arrested in Louisville on Tuesday.
According to Frankfort Police Department, Simeyon Johnson was arrested in conjunction with Louisville Metro Police Department and U.S. Marshals around 9:30 a.m.
Thomas Wideman, 50, was shot and killed outside his Frankfort apartment complex on July 9. Johnson is now charged with Wideman's murder, according to police.
Frankfort Police said officers were sent to 120 Marlowe Court on a shooting report. Police said Wideman had been shot, and a witness saw Johnson leaving the apartment with a handgun.
Investigators named Johnson a suspect shortly after the shooting, and he's been on the run for months. He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
