LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police have released new information in a road rage shooting that left a man dead last month.
KSP said a grand jury declined to file charges against the person who shot and killed Daniel Shouse, 63, on June 8 in Carroll County.
Police said the road rage dispute started when two cars merged onto Interstate 71 South at Exit 44.
Investigators said one driver called 911 to report the other driver waived a gun. Both cars got off at the next exit, and it escalated to shots fired.
Police said the driver shot and killed the other driver, Shouse, while on the phone with 911. From the beginning, investigators were looking at the case as possible self defense.
With no charges now, the grand jury agreed.
