LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 6-year-old boy died after he was accidentally shot in Radcliff last weekend, according to police.

Radcliff Police officers responded to an accidental shooting at North Street, near Dixie Boulevard, around 12:45 p.m. Jan. 25. When police arrived on scene, they found a 6-year-old boy shot in the head lying on the floor.

According to an arrest citation, Damarco Callen, 26, left his loaded gun under a pillow where he, a woman and four small children sleep. Callen told police he took a plate into the kitchen, leaving the child alone with the gun under the pillow.
