LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A suspect is on the run Friday night after a police chase in southern Indiana ended with a trooper’s vehicle overturning.
According to Indiana State Police, a pursuit began on Interstate 65 in Clarksville, Indiana, after a traffic stop.
The pursuit ended after a quarter of a mile on Veterans Parkway when the suspect crashed into a vehicle, which then struck a trooper’s vehicle, causing it to overturn.
ISP said two children in the vehicle that was hit by the suspect were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The ISP trooper was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
According to ISP, the passenger in the suspect's vehicle is in custody and was taken to the hospital for injuries.
ISP said no one suffered major injuries.
Police said the suspect fled from the scene on foot. Details about the suspect have not been released.
Police don't believe there's an immediate danger to the public.
