CALIFORNIA PARK SHOOTING

LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said police responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of Gallagher Street at California Park at 9:15 p.m.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A teenage boy was shot and killed in the California neighborhood Saturday night, according to Louisville Metro Police.

LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said police responded at 9:15 p.m. to a shooting in the 1600 block of Gallagher Street at California Park. When police arrived, they found a 15- or 16-year-old boy who had been shot.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a short time later, another male, whose age isn't known, was found at 9th and Cawthon streets, near West Broadway. He was taken to UofL Hospital with what appears to be non-life-threatening injuries. 

Police don't have any suspects.
