LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman was arrested after a shooting in Madison, Indiana, early Saturday morning.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said dispatch received a call about a man who had been shot just before 8 a.m.

Deputies found a man who had been shot in the front yard of the home.

The victim was first taken to Norton King’s Daughters’ Hospital, then transferred to UofL Hospital.

His condition is unknown at this time.

The homeowner, Cara Ross, barricaded herself inside the home but exited after a brief conversation with police.

Ross has been charged with criminal recklessness with a firearm.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
