LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman died after being shot near a Louisville restaurant March 23, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Last Sunday, LMPD officers responded to a shooting in the 5500 block of New Cut Road. When police arrived at the scene, they found a woman who had been shot outside of the business.

She was taken to UofL Hospital in critical condition, but LMPD confirmed Wednesday that she died there. The victim was identified Wednesday as 23-year-old Jayde Isaac.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation. Police don't know if the victim was an employee or patron of the restaurant, and are working to learn what led up to the shooting and a motive.

Police said all parties are accounted for and LMPD's Homicide Unit will work with the Commonwealth Attorney's Office to determine if any charges are warranted.
