LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An intense fire damaged three homes in the Victory Park neighborhood early Wednesday.
It happened around 3:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Louisville Fire Department. Crews responded to reports of a fire at a two-story home in the 2200 block of Hale Avenue, which is off South 22nd Street near West Oak Street.
Crews arrived to find heavy fire coming from the home, with flames extending to two nearby homes. It took 58 firefighters approximately 31 minutes to get the fire under control.
Two residents inside the home where the fire started escaped with minor injuries and were treated at the scene, according to the release. The American Red Cross is assisting the families that were displaced by the fire.
