LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Education leaders say they want bold solutions to improve Kentucky schools.

The Kentucky Association of School Administrators unveiled a list of recommendations at the Capitol in Frankfort.

Leaders noted that raising teacher pay needs to be the top priority.

"In looking at salaries across the state, we found most of our teachers are dangerously close to financial collapse," said Dr. Rhonda Caldwell, executive director of KASA. "Many work two or more jobs to make ends meet."

The report will be presented to the General Assembly next session.

A coalition of more than 150 business, education, government and community leaders worked on the report.
