LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shelby County High School was placed on a soft lockdown Wednesday morning in response to a reported bomb threat.
In a video posted to social media, Superintendent Joshua Matthews said the lockdown was placed "out of an abundance of caution."
"Everybody is fine," he said. "We really believe that this is not an immediate threat to any of our students."
Matthews said all students are safe, but the entire school district is on "high alert," which simply means extra people will be outside ensuring nothing is out of the ordinary.
He said they'd lift the lockdown once police finish their investigation. Around 11:20 a.m., the "All-Clear" was announced by the school district.
