LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Bellarmine University in Louisville is giving automatic admission and $18,000 to some Louisville high school students.
All the students have to do is earn at least a 2.75 GPA, fill out an online form and send in their high school transcript. Anyone with a 2.75 GPA will automatically be accepted into the program and receive the money.
It's all part of a new program called "Bellarmine Direct," and is available to students at public and private high schools in Louisville.
"It's really important to us that we open Bellarmine's doors for students in the Louisville community," Lauren Keeling, Bellarmine's vice president for Enrollment, Marketing and Communication, said. "And we want more students from Louisville to come to Bellarmine, get a great education, one that is full of a really impactful experience, full of engagement, belonging, wellness and purpose."
The Bellarmine Direct application is available now online.
