LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Students are set to head back to school in Hardin County in less than two weeks.
Earlier this year, the district approved its largest teacher pay increase in more than 20 years.Â
Superintendent Teresa Morgan stopped by WDRB Mornings Thursday to talk about what that means.Â
She said it will help the district recruit and keep teachers.
"This time last year, we had several vacancies, and this year we have very few. So it just speaks to the impact of being able to give teachers a living wage and also the respect that they deserve for all of their hard work and dedication."
Morgan said parents should make sure their kids are following a bedtime routine now, so it's not as hard when school starts.Â
She also said now is the time to make sure your kids' information is all up to date.
