LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's community and technical college system is marking a major enrollment milestone.

As of the first week of classes, more than 70,300 students have enrolled in one of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System's 16 colleges—including Jefferson Community and Technical College in Louisville.

That's a 6.4% increase—4,200 more students—compared to this time in 2024.

KCTCS said the students come from all 120 Kentucky counties. JCTC came out on top with a 12.3% increase.

School leaders predict total enrollment will surpass 85,000 before the end of the semester.
