LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An Oldham County High School teacher was reassigned for alleged unprofessional communication with a student.

Friday, a district spokesperson told WDRB News that David Buday will also be required to take additional safe schools training.

The district said Buday's communication with a student was not "sexual in nature." An investigation by the Cabinet for Families and Children found Buday didn't engage in any action considered abusive or neglectful.

Superintendent Jason Radford found Buday's communication violated the Professional Code of Ethics for Kentucky Certified Personnel.
