LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A water main break in Taylorsville, Kentucky, forced some Spencer County Schools to dismiss early Tuesday.Â
Superintendent Willie Foster posted on social media to the Spencer County community.Â
"We are dealing with a Water Main break on Highway 44 that has affected both SCES and SCMS," Foster said. "Unfortunately, the repair may be prolonged and we don’t feel that having school for a full day is possible. As a result, we will be dismissing early today, Tuesday, October 21, 2025."
Schools dismiss at the following times:
- 1 p.m.: Spencer County High School, Hillview Academy and Spencer County Middle School
- 2:15 p.m.: Spencer County Elementary School, Taylorsville Elementary School and Preschool
All after school programs at SCES and SCMS are canceled.
Foster apologized for the inconvenience.Â
