LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Students at Southern High School honored America's heroes on Veterans Day Tuesday morning.Â
JROTC cadets came together with band and orchestra students for a ceremony in the school's gym.
"I just want to give a moment to thank every veteran in this room and those who are families of those who are veterans that may have died or are still alive," cadet James Peach said. "We thank you so much for fighting bravely for this country."
During the ceremony, the cadets reflected on the meaning of Veterans Day and the sacrifice of the men and women who serve or have served.
