LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Elijah Craig is the official bourbon of the PGA Championship in Louisville, and the distiller released a limited small batch series in honor of the event's return to Louisville after 10 years.
The special-edition Commemorative Bottling of Elijah Craig 94 Proof Small Batch is now shipping to select retailers across the country, according to a news release Tuesday from Heaven Hill.
Heaven Hill Master Distiller Conor O'Driscoll is scheduled for a meet and greet at the Kroger Wine and Spirit Shop at 12501 Shelbyville Road, and customers will have a chance to get pictures with the bourbon and the Wanamaker Trophy. The event starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 7 p.m.
The neck of the limited edition bottle label features the trophy, a gold coin emblazoned cork showing the 2024 PGA Championship logo and a face label prominently showcasing the "Official Bourbon" designation along with the PGA Championship logo.
The one-time offering will be available nationally leading up to the Championship on an allocated basis, with a suggested retail price of $36.99.
"Celebrating the PGA Championship's return to Louisville, KY, would not be complete without an iconic brand like Elijah Craig," Meghan Miller, director of corporate partnerships for the PGA of America, said in a news release. "The PGA of America is proud to partner with Elijah Craig as the Official Bourbon of the PGA Championship."
Fans will have the opportunity to sample the small batch release and other products at the "Elijah Craig Bourbon Speakeasy" that will be left of the 14th hole of the course from May 16-19 as well as during practice rounds.
Elijah Craig will also be featured in a signature cocktail at concessions.
