LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Lostia Shreves, an escapee from the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex, has been captured.

Shreves, 30, of Cecilia, Ky., escaped on Feb. 17. Kentucky State Police troopers finally captured her Sunday just after noon in the Flint Hill area of Hardin County.

Officers located her at a vacant home off Harpool Lane. Shreves had entered the home and troopers found her alone inside.

"The cops came down and went in, and I heard them hollering," said Carolyn Cruse, who lives next door to the home and owns both properties.

"And then they came out and said 'We got her.' And it was kind of shocking, because I really didn't think anybody was in there."

Shreves now faces new burglary charges to go along with her original charges of possession of a controlled substance, burglary and unlawful distribution of meth.

She will not be held at the Hardin County Detention Center.
