LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Floyd County's Emergency Management Agency is giving out free radios and adapters to deaf and hearing impaired residents.

It's part of National Emergency Preparedness Month.

The adapters have flashing lights and vibrate to alert people to incoming severe weather.

You can pick one up at the New Albany Township Fire & Rescue Open House on Saturday, Sept. 28, from noon until 4 p.m., at the fire station in New Albany at 5203 Charlestown Road.

If you can't make it to the open house, you can pick one up at the Floyd County EMA at 2524 Corydon Pike.
